We've got a few things, but we could always use more! Happy Valentine's Day - see y'all tomorrow!
Our competition schedule is finally complete! Go check it out!See you Wednesday! Tue, Dec. 28th, 2004, 12:42 pm
Okay, so here's the deal, kiddies:
We're accepting defeat for this week in terms of practice. We really have no options. Shame on me for not having a back-up plan. So continue to enjoy the week off - sleep in, hang out with your friends, listen to the CD I gave you and go over the show in your head a few times, etc.
All is not lost. Have faith, my children.
I am taking this setback as a sign from the color guard gods. I believe that they're telling us to take this week to reflect on the show so far, map out the rest of it, get choreography done, order much needed supplies, etc. Oh yeah, and make flags with my mommy.
Here's what I'm thinking: A 4-5 hour long practice in C commons (or an equally large area) on Saturday, January 8th to make up for our lost time this week. I hope this is enough notice, because I really want everybody there, even if only for a portion of it. Tentatively, I'll say the times will be 10am-3pm. If we need to make it earlier or later, just let me know and we can adjust it.
Have a lovely break, everyone. :-) Sun, Dec. 26th, 2004, 06:02 pm Practice Times
Sorry about the delay on this...
We are in the bandroom for practices, and due to this being a small space, you guys will be practicing in shifts.
Tomorrow (Monday) Weapons and Dancers from 10:00 am to noon. Flags from noon to 2:00 pm.
Same schedule for Tuesday and Wednesday.
"Tuesday?" you ask. "What's with Tuesday?" Well, if we're going to get this show at least close to done before Ypsi, we need to put in some extra time. It's only 2 hours. Please make it if you can.
Any questions? You know how to get a hold of me.
Hey guys, just so you're all aware of the schedule next week:
Monday (12/20) - Usual practice time (6-9)
Wednesday (12/22) - 11a-2p in C Commons (Possibly an hour earlier for weapons)
Oh! And Christmas caroling will be that night, starting @ 6 pm. Where will we meet up? Uh... I dunno. The FHS parking lot as usual? A restaurant that we could eat at afterwards? If anyone has a better idea, please share.
As for practices the following week during break, it's highly probable that we'll get an AWESOME practice space at Henry Ford II high school. How is that possible, you ask? Let's just say Kati and Megan made friends in the right places at the clinic. :-)
More details to follow as I get them (they're making official arrangements for us on Monday night).
Later, ---Kati
P.S. I hope everyone made it out alive from the choir concert. That was freaky. Tue, Dec. 14th, 2004, 05:54 pm MCGC News
Aw man, I just got an email from MCGC about Championships. Mich. A (for the newbies, that's our competition class) is performing Friday evening instead of the usual Saturday day. They say that may change as more groups sign up, but that's the plan for right now. Bleh.
I just called the Fairfield Inn we stayed at last year. We have 8 rooms reserved for that night. Yay.
OH! Sabres just arrived at my house! Hooray!
See y'all tomorrow, ---Kati
As a faithful Live Journal user, I can't believe I didn't think of this a while ago for our news page. From now on, all important up-to-date information concerning FUSION will be on here! Read it frequently to stay informed! If you are a regular LJ user like me ( lershee), you can just add this journal to your friends list and you'll never miss a thing! BUT, don't worry if you're new to Live Journal! If you don't have an account, that's okay - I've set it so that ANYONE can read the updates and ANYONE can comment. Non LJ-members will simply post as "anonymous". Speaking of comments, that's one of the BIG advantages of using this new format. The comments section for each entry can become a message board so you guys can talk to eachother. All I ask is that you keep it clean, respectful, and at least somewhat Fusion-related. Keep in mind that I control this journal and I WILL delete any inappropriate material. Fun stuff is okay, like those silly polls, quizzes, or maybe one of those "get to know you" questionares. Also, when you comment, be sure to identify yourself whether you're a LJ user or not. Not everyone would know who legalyconfused is, now would they? See you at practice! Love, ---Kati
YES! We got "C" Commons for our weekly practices. Same days, same times, just different location. This is effective immediately, so we'll see you there on Monday!
I'm pleased to announce that Allison Dejonghe's sister, Monica, has graciously joined our staff as a movement instructor. She has performed with AWESOME Independant A teams such as Renaissance and Evolution, so her experience will come in very handy to us! |
